A Simpler, More Private Alternative to Sejda

Sejda's free tier is quite restrictive - three tasks per day, maximum 200 pages per document, and a 50 MB file cap. For occasional use that may be enough, but for anyone with a regular PDF workflow it quickly becomes limiting.

Pricing for Sejda's paid tiers ($63-90/year depending on billing period). The desktop application is a genuine differentiator, but it adds complexity - you need to download and maintain software on each machine you work from.

PDFsuite runs in any browser with no installation or per-machine setup, and as a native Mac app when you want one. You get the same experience whether you are on your work Mac, your home Windows machine, or a browser tab on the go.

Processing is local in both cases - Sejda's desktop app processes locally, and PDFsuite's WebAssembly engine processes locally in the browser. The difference is that with PDFsuite there is nothing to install and no platform restriction. Mac, Windows, Linux, and even mobile browsers all work.

The full-access free trial gives you a PDF editor plus 28 tools with no task limits and no file size caps beyond your device's memory.

If you are currently paying for Sejda and primarily using the web interface rather than the desktop app, PDFsuite covers the same tool set with equivalent or better privacy on the web.
