How it works
How to reorder pages in a PDF
- 1
Upload your PDF
Drop your PDF onto the uploader. Visual thumbnails of every page load so you can see the current order at a glance.
- 2
Drag pages into order
Drag any page thumbnail to a new position. Changes are reflected live - move as many pages as needed before saving.
- 3
Download the reordered PDF
Click Save Order. A new PDF reflecting your arrangement is built locally and downloaded to your device.
Fixing page order in a PDF is one of those tasks that sounds simple but used to require expensive desktop software. The PDF reorder tool gives you a visual drag-and-drop interface - every page appears as a thumbnail, and you rearrange them by dragging. The result is a new PDF built in the exact sequence you set, downloaded straight to your device.
Everything runs offline in your browser. No page is uploaded to any server, which makes the tool safe to use with confidential documents - board minutes, legal filings, financial reports - where you cannot afford data leakage through a cloud service. Processing uses pdf-lib running locally, so performance depends on your machine rather than a remote queue.
Reordering is free with no page-count limits. It is particularly useful when assembling a PDF from scanned pages that came out of the scanner in the wrong sequence, or when reorganizing a multi-section document before sending it to a client. The thumbnail view makes it easy to spot misplaced pages without having to count page numbers manually.
FAQ
Common questions
- Is there a limit to how many pages I can reorder?
- No server-side limit. Very large documents may take a moment to render thumbnails, but the reorder itself is fast regardless of page count.
- Do my files get sent to a server when I reorder pages?
- No. The reorder runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF is never transmitted anywhere - it stays on your device throughout.
- Can I undo a page move before downloading?
- Yes. Just drag the page back to its original position before clicking Save Order. The download only happens when you explicitly click the button.
